How to add a Company or a Person's Record


This article explains you how to add a company and a person's record in the InsideView database. 

Adding a Company Record

If you do not find the name of a company in your search, both in InsideView or InsideView partner results, you can add the basic details to InsideView database. These additions will be reviewed and researched by our team and updated to show up in search results.

 1 Select any menu item Open InsideView mash-up in your CRM and on the mash-up click any menu item.



Log in to the stand-alone application.

In the Search for a Company Person or News box, type a few letters from the name of the company you are looking for to narrow your search, and then click the Lookup icon.

2 Go to the View Partner Results page If you do not find the name of a company in the search results, click View Partner Results.
3 Add a Company Review the partner results. If you do not find the company here either, click Add Company.
4 Enter the new company details On the Generate a new Company form, enter the company name and the URL to the company’s website. You can also enter other details of the company here.
5 Add Click Add Company.

Adding a Person’s Record

1 Go to the People tab Open the company record you are looking for and then click the People tab.
2 Search for a person In the People tab search box, type the name of the person and press Enter.

3 Review the Partner Results Review the search results and check if the contact is listed. If you do not see the contact name here, under the Partner Results section, click Load.
4 Add a Person If you do not find the contact name in either of the results, click Add Person.

5 Enter the new Person details In the Contact form, enter the name, title, and email address of the contact you want to add. Web results for the details you provide are displayed on right-hand pane to help you validate or find correct information for the person.
6 Add Click Add Person to add the record to InsideView.
