New Features in InsideView for Sales

InsideView Connections Get More Powerful

InsideView Connections expand your professional network and help you get more referrals and warm introductions. In this release, enhancements to InsideView's unique matching algorithm enable the product to purge obsolete Connections and reload to find new and stronger Connections each time you upload or refresh your Connections.

You may see changes in your overall Connection network size (an increase or decrease.) Your connections will be the strongest and most relevant for you to leverage your relationships. 

New Features in InsideView Mobile

InsideView for Sales On Salesforce1 App 

InsideView for Sales is now available with the Salesforce1 mobile App enabling SFDC users to view more insights about companies and executives while using their Salesforce1 App.

All existing users of Salesforce must upgrade to the latest InsideView package 1.23.0 to view Insights on the Salesforce1 app. New users need not take any action. For more information on how to install and configure Salesforce in InsideView, click here.

Images in News Feed

Images corresponding to the agent paired with the news article are now shown in News Feed if the article does not contain any image. This provides users with a richer experience in News Feed.

Removal of Trivial Facebook Posts

InsideView now displays only relevant Facebook posts that are posted by the company/executive. 

Follow/Unfollow Company or Executive

You can now follow/unfollow an executive or a company on your respective Insights page. You will receive email alerts and news feed about the companies/executive you're following.

Auto-Suggest Feature 

While searching for companies, you can see the primary industry of the companies being auto-suggested.  

New Features in InsideView for Account Management

The current release is a bug fix. There are no feature updates.

Known Issues: InsideView Mobile

InsideView Mobile has the following two known issues. 

Unresponsive Keyboard: Difficulty Keying in Search String

At times, when searching for companies in the global search pane in InsideView mashup within Salesforce1 app, the soft keyboard that appears on your mobile screen to input your search string may be unresponsive. This is not an InsideView-related issue. To work around this issue, you must click ‘Done’ and attempt to key in the search string again. This will resolve your issue. This behavior is noted only on some iOS operating system.

Wrong Account/Contact Details : Display Issue 

When you search for Accounts or Contacts, at times, you may get to see the details of a different Account or Contact. Let's say you have details of 5 Accounts and a few Contacts. When you select to look up the details of company A, you get to see the details of company B. When you come across this issue, just refresh the screen to resolve it.
