Configuring InsideView Sales in SAP Hybris Sales Cloud

Adding InsideView to your Account and Contact page views is simple. Follow the detailed instructions below to customize your SAP CRM instance.

As an SAP user, you will be using either Silverlight or HTML5 in your SAP CRM. The procedure to configure InsideView in these two variants is slightly different and this article clearly explains both. However, note that you don't need to download any additional file or package to configure InsideView in your SAP client. It may be noted that SAP Hybris Sales Cloud is generally referred to the entire suite. Within Sales there is Cloud for Sales (C4S - which is cloud/on-demand CRM), Cloud for Customer (C4C), and also includes Cloud for Social, Cloud for Service, Cloud for Marketing. Most often this environment is referred to as C4C.

Note: To verify which mode you're currently in - Silverlight or HTML5,  navigate to Adapt -> Company Setting in your SAP session and click the Client tab.

Configuring InsideView for an Account in HTML5 Mode

To configure the InsideView Sales mashup for an Account page within your SAP CRM, perform the steps outlined below. 

Step Description Details
 1 Replace SAP Org name  Replace XXXXX with your unique org name to open SAP in HTML5 mode. https://myxxxxx.crm.ondemand.com/sap/public/ap/ui/repository/SAP_BYD_UI/HTML5/newclient.html
 2 Log in  Log in to your SAP CRM with your credentials. 
 3 Go to Customer Account Click Customers to view a list of your customer accounts, then click an account. The following screen appears: 

 

 4 Open an Account Locate an Account in your SAP C4C and open it.

 5 Go to Personalize Section

Click Personalize, then select Start Personalization.

   

 6 Start Personalization This enables Edit mode. Click the + symbol, as shown in the screen below, then select Add Mashup.

  

The following screen appears:

   

Scroll down to the Sales Intelligence for Account(insideview.com) option and select the checkbox.

Minimize the Properties window by clicking the minus (-) sign and click Apply

Note: If you want to see the complete InsideView mashup, double-click Mashup and Webservices to display Properties, then check the box adjacent to Full Width

 7 Go to Adapt Once changes are completed, go to Personalize> End Personalization.

   

Configuring InsideView for a Contact in HTML5 Mode

To configure the InsideView Sales mashup for a Contact page within your SAP CRM, perform the steps outlined below. 

Step Description Details
 1 Replace SAP Org name  Replace XXXXX with your unique org name to open SAP in HTML5 mode. https://myxxxxx.crm.ondemand.com/sap/public/ap/ui/repository/SAP_BYD_UI/HTML5/newclient.html
 2 Log in  Log in to your SAP CRM with your credentials. 
 3 Go to the Contact page

Click Customers to view a list of your customer accounts, then select the Contacts tab. The following screen appears: 

 

 4 Open a Contact

Locate a Contact in your SAP C4C and open it.

 

 4 Personalize an account

Click Personalize, then select Start Personalization.

 5 Start Personalization This enables Edit mode. Click the + symbol, as shown in the screen below, then select Add Mashup.

 

The following screen appears:

 

Scroll down to the Sales Intelligence for Contacts (insideview.com) option and select the checkbox.

Minimize the Properties window by clicking the minus (-) sign and click Apply.

Note: If you want to see the complete InsideView mashup, double-click Mashup and Webservices to display Properties, then select the check box adjacent to Full Width

 6 Go to Adapt Once changes are completed, go to Personalize > End Personalization.

 

Configuring InsideView for an Account in Silverlight Mode

To configure the InsideView Sales mashup for an account within your SAP Sales Cloud, perform the steps outlined below.

 1 Replace the Organization name  Replace XXXXX with your unique org name to enter the SAP Silverlight mode.

Note: If your Administrator has changed the Preferred Client for your organization to HTML in the Company settings tab, then organization name is switched for all users automatically. After that, they can work only in HTML5; they can't switch between Microsoft Silverlight and HTML5.  2 Log in  Log in to your SAP CRM with your credentials. 
 3 Go to Customer Account Click Customer to view a list of your customer accounts, then click an account. The following screen appears:

 

 4 Open an account

Locate an Account in your SAP C4C and open it.

 5 Go to Adapt Section In the above screen, click Adapt, then select Enter Adaptation Mode, as illustrated below:

 

Click Yes when the system prompts you for confirmation. The Adapt menu will now display the Edit Screen option.   

 6 Start Personalization Navigate to Adapt -> Edit Screen, then select Mashups and Web Services:

 

Scroll down to the Sales Intelligence for Accounts (InsideView) option and select the checkbox, as illustrated below.

 

Click Save.

Note: If you want to see the complete InsideView mashup, double-click Mashup and Webservices to display properties, then check the box adjacent to Full Width

Configuring InsideView for a Contact in Silverlight Mode

To configure the InsideView Sales mashup for a contact within your SAP Sales Cloud, perform the steps outlined below.

 3 Go to Customer Account Click Customer to view a list of your customer accounts, then select the Contacts tab. The following screen appears:

 

 4 Open a contact Locate a Contact in your SAP C4C and open it, then click Personalize and click the This Screen option as illustrated.

 6 Start Personalization In the Tabs section, click the Mashups and Web Services link as illustrated:

 

Scroll down to the Sales Intelligence for Contacts (insideview.com) option and select the checkbox, as illustrated below.

 

Click Save.
