This article provides instructions on how to configure browser settings and grant access to Demandbase (Insideview) Insights in your organization.
Problem
The Insights platform may not load and display the following error message:
"User account identifier is not provided. Add *.insideview.com to the set of trusted sites".
This issue occurs when about blank, InsideView, CRM, or Microsoft websites are not part of the trusted sites in your web browser and the system is unable to keep the session live.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

Configuration Instructions for Microsoft Edge Browser
- Go to Settings in the Microsoft Edge browser
- Click on Cookies and site permissions > Manage and Delete Cookies and Site Data.
- Scroll down to Allow and click Add.
- Enter https://my.insideview.com. If you have integrated your CRM with Insideview, add the URL for your CRM. Click Add.
Clearing Cookies in Microsoft Edge Browser
- Go to Settings in the Microsoft Edge web browser.
- Click on Cookies and site permissions > Manage and Delete Cookies and Site Data.
- Click on See all cookies and site data.
- Enter Insideview in the search box. Click the trash icon to remove cookies.
Configuration Instructions for Internet Explorer Browser
- Go to Internet Options > Security tab > Trusted Sites icon > Sites
- Uncheck Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone and add the following sites:
- about:blank
- https://login.microsoftonline.com
- https://login.windows.net
- https://my.insideview.com
- Click Close.
- Uncheck the Enable Protected Mode check box.
- Select the Privacy tab and click Advanced.
- Click Accept for both the First-party and Third-party cookies. Check the Always allow session cookies check box. Click OK.
- Click Apply.

Configuration Instructions for Google Chrome Browser
- Go to Settings in the Google Chrome web browser.
- In the Settings page, enter the word cookies and click Search. Select the Cookies and other site data.
- Scroll down to Sites that can always use cookies and click Add. Enter https://my.insideview.com. If you have integrated your CRM with Insideview, add the URL for your CRM.
- Relaunch the Chrome web browser.
Clearing Cookies in Google Chrome Browser
- Go to Settings in the Google Chrome web browser.
- In the Settings page, enter the word cookies and click Search. Select the Cookies and other site data.
- Scroll down to See all cookies and site data.
- Enter Insideview in the search box. Click the trash icon to remove cookies.
Configuration Instructions for Safari Browser
- Go to Preferences in the Safari web browser.
- Go to the Privacy tab and uncheck the Website tracking > Prevent cross-site tracking and Cookies and website data > Block all cookies checkbox.
- Go to the Security tab and check the Web content > Enable JavaScript checkbox.=
