Upgrading an Older Version of InsideView Sales to the Latest Version

Effective Mar 2018, installing InsideView Sales is moved via Connected Apps page and the latest installation package can be downloaded from here Salesforce AppExchange

Upgrading InsideView Sales in Salesforce Class Edition 

Customers using an older version of InsideView Sales app can upgrade to the latest InsideView Sales Connected app 1.0 version package. Here’s how:

Step Description Details
 1 Log in  Log in to Salesforce.com as an administrator.
 2 Go the Installation page Click here to install in Salesforce.com. If you have installed an older version of InsideView Sales app the following screen appears:

Click Done.

 3 Uninstall old package Go to Build > Develop > Installed Packages.

In the Installed Package page, click the Uninstall link beside the older InsideView Sales package. 

When you click Uninstall, the Uninstalling A Pacakage  page appears. Select the following check boxes:

  • Do not save a copy of this package's data after uninstall
  • Yes, I want to uninstall this package and permanently delete all associated components

When you select the Do not save a copy this package's data after uninstall check box, the following dialog appears:

Click OK.

 4 Complete Uninstallation  Once you have selected uninstall options, click Uninstall. After uninstallation process is complete, the InsideView Sales is now displayed under the Uninstalled Packages section as illustrated below:

 5 Install the latest package  Once the uninstallation is completed, follow the instructions in the following KB articles to install and configure InsideView Sales app:

Upgrading InsideView Sales in Salesforce Lightning Edition 

Step Description Details
 1 Log in  Log in to Salesforce.com as an administrator.
 2 Go the Installation page Click here to install in Salesforce.com. If you have installed an older version of InsideView Sales app the following screen appears:

Click Done.

 3 Uninstall old package In the Installed Package page, click the Uninstall link beside the older InsideView Sales package. 

When you click Uninstall, the Uninstalling A Pacakage  page appears. Select the following check boxes:

  • Do not save a copy of this package's data after uninstall
  • Yes, I want to uninstall this package and permanently delete all associated components

Click OK.

 4 Complete Uninstallation  Once you have selected uninstall options, click Uninstall. After uninstallation process is complete, the InsideView Sales is now displayed under the Uninstalled Packages section as illustrated below:

 5 Install the latest package  Once the uninstallation is completed, follow the instructions in the following KB articles to install and configure InsideView Sales app:
