Visualizing Apex Analytics Dashboard for Sales Revenue, Leads and Opportunities

InsideView Apex lets you view analytics of sales pipeline and opportunities within your market segments from your Salesforce CRM within your market segments. Additionally, the Apex Analytics dashboard shows only lead analytics for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Eloqua and Marketo Marketing Automation (MA) integrations. It lets you visualize the performance of published market segments against sales win or loss, leads and opportunities over a period of time interval. 

Note: In order to view Apex Analytics dashboard, you must install to the latest InsideView unified package and configure an application or integration user based on your CRM integration to establish a communication channel for data aggregation. For more information, read these articles 

Here’s how you can view Apex Analytics dashboard:

Step Description Details
 1 Log in to InsideView Admin Portal Log in to InsideView Admin Portal with user credentials.
 2 Go to Apex Click the Apex link.

The Apex Analytics Dashboard below shows both lead and sales opportunity analytics:

Notes:

  • Analytics for leads will be visible only when you purchase InsideView Enrich solution along with your InsideView Apex license. If your account is provisioned only for InsideView Enrich, then Sales Opportunities analytics will NOT be available or visible.
  • If your account is provisioned only for InsideView Sales, then lead analytics will NOT be available or visible. 
 3 View Apex analytics In the Apex Analytics Dashboard, you can view analytics of sales revenue, leads and opportunities data and you can analyze it using the following options:
  • Date - allows you to change the date range, either by entering custom dates or selecting any of these quick-select options:
    • All Time
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • Last 90 Days - (default selection)
    • Last Year
    • Month-to-date
    • Year-to-date

  • Group Data By - allows you to choose the date and time range based on which the data is grouped in the charts. You can select any of the following options:
    • Week (default selection)
    • Month
    • Quarter
    • Year

  • All Systems - lets you select All or choose any Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics (CRM integrations) or Eloqua and Marketo (MA integrations) that are integrated with your Market Segment in InsideView Apex. This option is visible only when you have configured more than one CRM/MA integration in InsideView Enrich. You can choose from the following options:
    • Leads - Choose this option to select all leads are enriched in Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Eloqua and Marekto Marketing Automation integrations. 
    • Opportunities - Choose this option to select all opportunities data that is created or updated in Salesforce CRM integration.

    Note: You can choose to view only a particular integration under Leads and Opportunity by selecting the Only option as illustrated:

  • View - allows you to view the statistics of your market segment data in an aggregate or the comparison view. In the Aggregate (default selection) view, you can view aggregation of all market segments. Select the Comparison view link to choose the market segments that you wish to compare. In the Comparison view, you can compare up to five Market Segments at a time.

  • Matched Records - allows you to choose either All or Matched Records that you wish to visualize. This option is greyed out in the Aggregated View.

  • Market Segment Leads - lets you choose to visualize all market segment leads by Volume or Conversion Rates. When you select the Conversion Rates option, you can view a percentage all leads that are converted to lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-win conversion rates. For example, if there are 1,206 opportunities and 262 wins in a market segment over a period of time. In this example, the conversion rate will be 22%.

  • Market Segment Opportunities - lets you choose to visualize all opportunities in Salesforce CRM by Average Deal Value, Total Deal Value or Volume. When you select the Average or Total Deal Value option you will see the actual value in currency of an opportunity.

  • Market Segment Wins - lets you choose to visualize all market segment wins by Average Deal Value, Total Deal Value or Volume.

  • Market Segment Funnel - lets you choose to visualize all market segment funnel by Average Time to Close, Win Rate (Deal Value) or Win Rate (Volume).

Note: These options are contextual and change as per the date range selected. For example, if you select the Year option, you cannot group the data by Week

 4 Check Apex Analytics In the Aggregate view, you will see aggregation of data analysis for sales revenue, leads and opportunities from all market segments

In the Comparison view, you will see the comparison data of each market segment for each segment with lead/open opportunities and closed opportunities:

Table: Apex Analytics Data Analysis

The Apex Analytics data is an aggregate information for market segment leads, opportunities, wins, and the complete sales pipeline. Each snapshot card has its own options to change what data is being shown:

 Card Name Description and Options  Data View 
 Sales Pipeline Number of days to close an opportunity from the creation date.

Choose any one of the following options:

  • By Average Time to Close - to view an average number of days it takes to close, from opportunity creation date to close date.
  • By Win Rate (Deal Value) (default) - to view the total amount associated with all wins in a market segment divided by the total amount associated with all open opportunities in a market segment.
  • By Win Rate (Volume) - to view total number of wins in a market segment divided by the total number of opportunities in a market segment.

 Leads Total number of leads in a market segment.

Choose any of the following options:

  • By Conversion Rates - to view a conversion percentage of total number of opportunities in a market segment divided by number of leads. 
  • By Volume (default) - to view total number (volume) of leads.

 Opportunities Total number of open opportunities associated to a market segment

Choose any of the following options:

  • By Average Deal Value - to view an average amount associate with all open opportunities in a market segment.
  • By Total Deal Value (default) - to view total amount associated with all open opportunities in a market segment.
  • By Volume - to view the volume of open opportunities in a market segment.

 Wins Total number of wins in a market segment Choose any of the following options:
  • By Average Deal Value - to view an average amount associated with all wins in a market segment.
  • By Total Deal Value (default) - to view total amount associated with all wins in a market segment.
  • By Volume - to view the volume of wins in a market segment.
