Performing Start a Conversation Business Actions

Use the information in the various sections of a contact’s Start a Conversation tab to start a business conversation.

You can perform the following business actions in the Start a Conversations page:

Create a Call Reminder

You can create a reminder to call sales reps in the Start A Conversation page. Here’s how:

Step Description Details
 1 Go to the Start a Conversation page Go to the Start a Conversation page of a contact.
 2 Call Click the call_icon.png Call button under the Next Steps section.

 3 Enter call details In the New Phone Call pop-up window, enter the following details:
  • Subject: the purpose of the call.
  • Call From: the person’s email who wants to call.
  • Call To: the recipient’s email or name.
  • Description: the reason for your call.
  • Others Values: specify the values that are needed for other fields as appropriate.

 4 Save Click Save.

Note: A reminder to call the contact is created in the CRM > Service > Activities page.

Send an Email

You can send an email directly to sales reps from the Start a Conversation page. Here’s how:

Step Description Details
 1 Go to the Start a Conversation  page Navigate to the Start a Conversation tab by following the instruction in the Getting to Start a Conversation with Contacts article.
 2 Select Email Click the  email_icon.png Email button under the Next Steps section.

 3 Enter email details In the New Email pop-up window, enter the following details:
  • From: the sender’s email.
  • To: the recipient’s email.
  • Cc and Bcc: email addresses of persons whom you want to mark a copy to.
  • Subject: the purpose of your email.
  • Description: The body of email.

 4 Send Click Send.

Assign A Task

You can assign a task to sales reps in the Start a Conversation page. Here’s how:

Step Description Details
 1 Go to the Start a Conversation  page Navigate to the Start a Conversation tab by following the instruction in the Getting to Start a Conversation with Contacts article.
 2 Select the task item Click the task_icon.png Task button under the Next Steps section.

 3 Enter task details In the New Task pop-up window, enter the following details:
  • Subject: the purpose of your email.
  • Description: the body of email.
  • Duration: the duration of the task.

 4 Save Click Save

Schedule a Meeting

You can schedule a meeting with sales reps in the Start a Conversation page. Here’s how:

Step Description Details
 1 Go to the Start a Conversation  page Navigate to the Start a Conversation tab by following the instruction in the Getting to Start a Conversation with Contacts article.
 2 Select the Calendar item Click the calendar_icon.png Calendar button under the Next Steps section.

 3 Enter meeting details In the New Appointment pop-up window, enter the following details:
  • Required: the recipient’s email who all are required to attend.
  • Optional: recipients email who are optional.
  • Subject: the purpose of your email.
  • Location: the location of your meeting
  • Regarding: The body of the email.

 4 Save Click Save.
